Born from a Passion for Stone
Dorfsol was founded in 2004 by Vikram Dorfsol, a stone contractor who was frustrated by the lack of quality stone care products available in India. Imported European products were expensive, hard to source, and often formulated for climates very different from India's. Local alternatives were unreliable and inconsistent.
Vikram partnered with Dr. Anita Sharma, an applied chemist, to develop a range of professional-grade products specifically engineered for Indian stone types and climate conditions. Two years of research and testing later, the first Dorfsol products were launched.
Today, Dorfsol is trusted by stone care professionals, interior designers, hotel chains, and homeowners across India. Our range has grown to 12 core products covering every aspect of stone care — cleaning, sealing, restoration, and maintenance.
We remain an independent, family-owned business with the same commitment to quality and innovation that drove our founders in 2004.
